The base prices need to be entered manually into the MASTER price charts and will then be automatically updated/changed differently for each MAIN CATEGORY. The MASTER price chart will consist of 28 price charts each with 99 prices, a total of 2,772 prices. Each of these prices will be calculated and entered in manually. Once entered and updated, the MASTER price chart will then populate six (6) MAIN CATEGORIES (see above).  There needs to be a way that the % increase/decrease can be adjusted/changed in each category from time to time as needed. There will be a total of 18 final  different price charts that will be displayed on a password protected webpage and must also be able to be printed. You will notice that there are 10 different shape diamonds in each MAIN CATEGORIES, but only 3 different price charts are used. Some of the different shapes will be grouped together and the same price chart will be used. For example, ROUND will have its own price chart, the "FANCY 1" price chart will be used for 4 different shape diamonds: cushion, oval, princess and radiant cut, the "FANCY 2" price chart will be used for: emerald cut, marquise, assher, pear and heart shape. 

The price change program and charts must be an independent stand alone program and can be either cloud or server based and must be security protected. It must be able to be loaded/installed on to different servers/clouds and back up copies issued. Entering all of the MASTER prices may take several days and need to be updated each week. Ideally, I would be able to load the program on to my home computer/laptop and work at my convenience and then upload the MASTER prices to the server/cloud which would then be displayed on the website. 

ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT:  As the price charts are developed, they should be set up in such a way that they can be searched so that a user (consumer) can enter the specifications of their diamond ( IN A PHONE APP) and prices are displayed. The app could also be installed on any website. Not all of the prices would need to be displayed. The following 3 prices would be relevant:  CASH LIQUIDATION PRICE, PRIVATE PARTY PRICE and the TRADE IN VALUE PRICE.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT:  Currently, there are thousands of companies publishing diamond prices across the Internet on every level. Our current goal is simply to be bigger and better. We know that once we publish our prices on the Internet, other companies will quickly improve and update their prices as well. Therefore, the price charts need to be set up in such a way that they can be expanded on with out having to start over from scratch.
